I'm getting more feeling, or limberness. I didn't expect for it to have positive effects that quickly.
Pulsatile Insulin Infusion (PII_ is a treatment giving life-changing results to many Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes patients.
Pulsed insulin delivery mimics the way a healthy pancreas delivers insulin to the liver and all the cells of the body. The insulin pulse triggers the liver to store glucose as glycogen for future energy, and to create an enzymatic cascade through the bloodstream that stimulates muscle, the organs of the body, and individual cells to normally process glucose to create ATP (energy). And, the pulsed insulin delivery allows the insulin receptors in cells to recover between pulses to reduce insulin resistance.
While PII does not cure diabetes, it treats the underlying metabolic dysfunction and inflammation caused by both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, which can reverse the progression of damage diabetes causes to the nerves (neuropathy), the eyes (retinopathy), and kidneys (nephropathy), the heart and blood vessels (increased heart attacks and strokes), and other organs. It can also improve the depression, malaise, insomnia, and other diabetes-related systemic problems that diminish the quality of life.
